Google Maps for Windows Mobile 3.3.1
Google has released a new version of its free mapping app for smartphones running Windows Mobile. Google Maps for Mobile 3.3 lets users keep the starred places on their phone and on their computer synchronized.
This app has let mobile users put a star on places they want to remember almost since its inception, and this feature was added to the desktop version a few months ago. With version 3.3, these are kept synced.

Quick GPS fix without XTRA enabled
If you turn off XTRA, you'll notice that it may require even more than 15-30 minutes to get a fix. Turning on XTRA will shorten this to almost instant fixes...
Many people prefer to disable Enhanced GPS Settings, XTRA data download. This is because 3G/GPRS data connections can cost a lot, especially if you are abroad and roaming.It seems like Samsung has left some settings turned on in the registy, for debugging purposes, and this makes really slow to get a fix without XTRA data.
Following steps seem to improve the time to get a GPS fix, without need to download XTRA data:
1. First you have to do application unlock. Procedures can be found in previous posts.
2. go start > settings > connection >Enhanced gps settings and make xtra disabled
3. Since i prepared cab file that is modifying registry automatically, you dont need to deal with registry. Just install "quick_gps_fix_patch.cab" file.
4. soft-reset your device
5. Delete "GPSLogFileBack.txt" and "GPSLogFile.txt" files in windows directory.If you don't soft-reset, you will not be able to delete these files.
6. check your root directory of internal memory if you see xtra.bin file delete it.
7. Finally run your GPS Software. Connection will succeed within 15-25 seconds.
GPS Programlarında uydu bulma süreci epey zaman alıyor. Çabuk bağlantı için online gprs bağlantı gerekiyordu. Fakat online bağlantı gerekmeden de bu işi halledecek süreci hızlandıracak bir yöntem var. Yeterki açık bir alanda bulunun yeter. (cam kenarıda yeterli. :)
1. Öncelikle cihazı application unclock yapmali yani kilidini açmalıyız. Bu registry ye müdahale için gerekli.
Kilidin nasıl açıldığı ve ilgili dosya ve videosu blogda mevcuttur.
2. başlat > ayarlar > bağlantılar > gelişmiş gps ayarları bolümündeki xtra etkinleştir ve otomatik indirme her ikiside
disable olmalı (çünkü online bağlantıya gerek yok)
3. Registry ayarı için bir cab dosyası hazırladim registry ye girip uğraşmanıza gerek yok.

4. Cihazı yeniden başlatın.
5. Cihaz açıldıktan sonra Cihazın windows klasorune giderek GPSLogFileBack.txt ve GPSLogFile.txt dosyalarını silin. (cihazı yeniden başlatmadan bu dosyaları silemezsiniz)
6. Son olarak cihazın dahili hafızasında eğer xtra.bin dosyası varsa silin (bu dosya önceden xtra etkinleştir enable yaparak gprs den uydu datası aldıysanız oluşmuştur.)
7. Sonunda GPS Programını açıp deneme yapabilirsiniz. Bağlantı 15-25 saniyede gerçekleşecektir.
